Be honest with yourself. Would it be easy to treat August like any other kid in school? Which peer would you be most like? Do you like that about yourself?
You did not answer the first question: Would it be easy to treat August like any other kid in school? Also, do you like that you would be most like Alex?
If I went to school with August, I would DEFINITELY not be mean to him because of the way he looks. I would be nice and try to treat him like everybody else (it would be a little difficult, considering that he's... different). I like that about myself, but I don't know if I would be August's very best friend. -Nitsa
It wouldn't be easy to treat August like a regular person, but I would care for him a little more than others. I think I would more be like Jack, and be compassionate. I think this is a good thing about me. -Claire the Awesome Panda
I would treat August like a jack did. I would try my best to be nice to him,I would also try to help him get more friends, yes i do like that about myself.~sara
i would try to be friends with august because hes nice and scared of going to school and i would try to make him not be so scared. i would also make him welcome to the school.
That is an honest answer. Would you be able to look it up on your own? Is it appropriate to ask? I know some people say it is and others say it is not. What do you think?
I admit, at first it would be hard to treat August like any other kid. But after I'd seen him around, I do think I'd muster up the courage to talk to him. At first I'd be like Jack Will, who's kind of quiet around August at first, but gradually turn into Charlotte.

I would August's friend if i went to his school and he seems really nice. I bet that a lot of people tease because of his face. But that's not important.
If I went to school with August, I would be very nice to him. Because, he seems like a nice kid and he sounds like he has a warm heart. I might be his best friend because I bet you, not a lot of people would be nice to him and I wouldn't want him to feel bad about himself. And I would most likely be like Charlotte because I feel like she was very nice to him while taking the tour around the school. Also, she made sure that he had no questions and she made him feel welcome. Kinley <3
i would try to be a good friend but, it will be very VERY hard. I think the character i would most be like is Via because, Via stands up for August and protects him more than a normal brother. -Sophie
