August Question from pages 205-215
"The ocean just wasn't leaving inside my head anymore." Do you think other kids may have gotten teased about their hearing aids? Why do you think it isn't a big deal that August got them? Was Via right about this? Do you think these new hearing aids will have a positive effect on August's life?

1. I think other kids with hearing aids will get teased a little because of how they look with them. 2. Because it helps him hear and you can barely see them. 3. I don't get that. 4. Yes, it can help him hear much better.

ReplyDeleteOther kids would get teased because if they had hearing aids they would look funky but if auggie wore them he has so many deformities they would notice. It will be a positive effect because he can hear better and no one would notice it.

ReplyDeleteThe other kids might have gotten teased about their hearing aids, but it wasn't a big deal for Auggie because you can barely see them. Via was right that nobody would make fun of Auggie. Its is a good thing for August to have gotten hearing aids because he doesn't hear that splash sound and can hear much better.

ReplyDeleteI think kids get teased because hearing aids look a little odd. I don't think August got teased because his face is more noticeable then the aids, and since his face is already deformed, it doesn't make him look too different. I think it had a positive effect on his life because now he can hear clearly, which will help him in school and everyday life.
ReplyDeleteSome kids might get teased about the hearing aids, but August like his, because he could "Hear Brightly" and his hair covered up most of it. And Via was right that nobody would make fun of him. Its a good thing August got his hearing aids.

I think that it is a positive thing for August to get hearing aids because he does not hear the white sound anymore and he can hear very clearly.

I think other kids probably got teased about their hearing aids, It wasn't a problem for August because you could barely see them cause they look like headphones. Nobody teased August about his hearing aids, yes Olivia was right. I think it was a good idea for him to get hearing aids because now he can't hear the ocean/white sound,he can now hear very clearly.
